These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Application Butler ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of the Application Butler platform and website located at applicationbutler.ai (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Application Butler is an AI-powered career tools platform that provides resume building, cover letter generation, ATS optimization, job description analysis, interview preparation, and automated job application submission ("Auto-Apply"). The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist users in creating job application materials and, where authorized by the user, to submit applications to third-party job boards on the user's behalf.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Access to the Service requires authentication via Manus OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The Service is offered under a Free tier and paid subscription plans (Starter at $9/month, Pro at $19/month, and Executive at $39/month). Features available under each plan are described on the Pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. All fees are in US dollars and are non-refundable except as required by law or as described in Section 5.4.
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal accessible from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period for which you have paid.
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time paid subscribers. If you are not satisfied with the Service within 7 days of your first payment, contact us at [email protected] for a full refund. Refunds are not available after 7 days or for subsequent billing periods.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period and will take effect at your next renewal.

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and all other content created by us, is owned by Application Butler and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.
You retain ownership of the content you create using the Service, including your resumes, cover letters, and application materials. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose beyond delivering the Service.
The Service uses AI to generate resume content, cover letters, and other materials. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that is not appropriate for your specific situation. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before use. We make no warranty that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC EMPLOYMENT OUTCOME, INCLUDING INTERVIEWS, JOB OFFERS, OR EMPLOYMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APPLICATION BUTLER AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Application Butler and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property violations. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will send an email notification to registered users at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
